LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration at the Dublin Buddhist Centre

Monday 25th June 2018
7.30pm - 10pm

Hosted by the Dublin Buddhist Centre LGBTQ+ Group

To celebrate Pride 2018, a few of us in the Dublin Buddhist Centre with experiences on the LGBTQ+ spectrum are hosting a special evening.

This event is sincerely open to all, you don't have to identify as LGBTQ+ (but they could be one of your best friends :)) and no experience of meditation or Buddhism is necessary.

Our Buddhist community welcomes every curious individual interested in exploring meditation and the Dharma.

Buddhism takes overcoming human suffering as its focus, and offers helpful teachings to support us to develop happiness and find meaning in our lives.

During this evening we will learn about and practice a meditation on developing loving kindness towards our self and others, a great way of building on the positive mental states, true individuality and community that Pride celebrates.

We will also have some discussions and break out groups exploring the diverse range of experiences in the LGBTQ+ community.

Booking

Free event. There is no need to book, just turn up, though if you could let us know if you intend to come to this event that would be handy so we can get an idea of numbers.
