A message from Penny, who’s off to the mountains of the Himalayas:
I will be embarking upon an 18 day trek in the Nepalese Himalaya towards the end of November. I will be arriving in Kathmandu on the 21st of Nov. and 2 days later, with Phul, my intrepid guide (who wears a pink woolly hat with a bobble, no kidding), we will be setting off on a truely gruelling trek, covering 300 km, braving the rigours of a Nepalese winter, and climbing to altitudes of over 5,ooo metres.
Seriously hard core! Be generous with your dosh; this is not for the faint hearted! Those who donate will receive a highly amusing and hair-raising account of ‘Penny’s Amazing Adventures’ on her return (if she returns in one piece).
