As a way of introducing the location of our new centre, we have organised a Walking Tour of the area, led by local historian Terry Fagan, who has spent twenty years (and written six books!) gathering local people’s memories of the place.
The Tour will take place on Thursday 4th October. We’ll meet at 11.30 at the new Centre location (No. 5 James Joyce Street, which is off Talbot Street, towards Connolly Station end) to have a look around, before starting the walking tour from 12.00 to 2.00 pm.
We hope that anybody interested and available will join us for lunch/coffee afterwards to reflect on and discuss issues relevant to the move to this area, but do come for the tour only if your time is restricted.
The tour costs 10 Euro a head. Please bring walking shoes or boots and appropriate raingear if necessary! There is no need to book, however please do let the Centre know if you will attend so we can have an idea of numbers. You can contact Prajnagita on (01) 6624560.
